The Game Studies course is nearly finalized, students are registered, guest speakers are being scheduled, and Dr. Denning and I are developing our lectures, quizzes, tests, and rubrics. The first day of class is quickly approaching, and the excitement is building. This course would not have been as well defined and current without the insights and generosity of some great publishers.

Dr. Denning and I want to take a moment to thank these publishers for donating toward the game library for the Game Studies course at Taylor University. Their generosity will offer our students opportunities to experience these games, critically analyze them, and learn from their designs.

Throughout the semester, we will be documenting the use of these donations so these publishers can see how their products are utilized in the course. Thanks again to the publishers for partnering with us in this new course at Taylor University.

Dr. Denning and I are now going to be focused on final preparations for the course over the next couple of months, along with time at home with our families. I will return to this Game Studies Course blog series of posts when the semester begins in February, sharing experiences of the actual course in progress.
